Appearing on WBZ-TV on December 13, former Florida governor Jeb Bush predicted that Hillary Clinton is the inevitable winner of the coming presidential election. Bush said that Donald Trump is “not motivated to win the presidency.” Trump, who Bush says is neither a “serious person” nor a “serious candidate,” and even suggested that the New York real estate mogul is in cahoots with Clinton.
Bush said, “The simple fact is, his winning the primary, the Republican nomination would guarantee that Hillary Clinton will be elected president.”
“We’re living in serious times, and his proposals are completely unserious,” Bush said. “And I think if people see that over time, he’s not going to be elected. People kind of forgot that he was a Democrat not that long ago, that he supported Hillary Clinton, that he thought Hillary Clinton would be a good negotiator with Iran.”
Trump does not “know what he’s talking about,” said Bush while contending that his GOP opponent will “make it impossible for a Republican to win.”
Last week, Bush suggested that Trump has secretly agreed with Clinton to get her elected to the White House. "Maybe Donald negotiated a deal with his buddy @HillaryClinton. Continuing this path will put her in the White House," the former governor tweeted. Trump has repeatedly denied the charges, saying that he has been unrelenting in his attacks on Clinton during his campaign. Trump did, however, have both Bill Clinton and Hillary as guests at his wedding to his third wife. Bush included one of Trump’s Twitter account in which Trump suggested that a majority of his supporters would continue to support him should he run as an independent.
According to Real Clear Politics’ aggregated polling data, Trump is the frontrunner among the Republican contenders at 29.8 percent. Bush is in fifth place at 4.2 percent.
