Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) announced today in a video on YouTube that she will run for President in 2020.
In a video with background music, Warren stands in a kitchen and describes why she wants to run for President using class politics and other tropes common among liberal politicians."America's middle class is under attack. How did we get here? Billionaires and big corporations decided they wanted more of the pie," Warren said.
Although Warren did not use President Trump's name, his policies were present in her remarks, especially immigration and the Mueller investigation when she claimed "corruption is poisoning our democracy."
In the three-minute announcement video, Warren attacked information consumed by voters who watch Fox News, saying they have been scammed by an "echo chamber of fear and hate designed to distract and divide us."
While she spoke photos of Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, the Fox and Friends team, and Laura Ingraham appeared on the video. Warren continued with more photos of White House officials and a video of Trump while she said they are "people who will do or say anything to hold onto power." Warren then says others who do not share her opinions are on a "dark path" who "point the finger at anyone who looks, thinks, prays or loves differently than they do" while viewers can hear Trump exclaiming "build that wall" in the background.
