Comedian Steven Crowder went undercover to find out whether the contention that citizens can purchase automatic weapons through the so-called gun show loophole is true or not. To test whether just anybody can purchase a firearms capable of firing multiple rounds with just one pull of the trigger, Crowder visited several gun stores, as well as vendors at gun shows. In the video, Crowder is shown asking the merchants whether he can buy an automatic weapon but is roundly told “no.”
He used a hidden camera to record his results for his web-based series ‘Louder With Crowder.’ In one segment, Crowder asks a merchant “Fully automatic?” To this the response is “Oh, no. I don’t have a class three license.”
Crowder’s video also includes clips of Democrats Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, and President Obama, as well as various journalists and celebrities. Each appears to say that automatic weapons are widely and easily available.
Crowder asks another vendor in the video, “So I cannot buy a fully automatic?” The vendor answered, “No. No one can really unless they have like a super-crazy license.”
