Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump is scheduled to speak in Greenville SC at noon on August 27, He will appear before the Upstate Chamber of Commerce Coalition's Presidential Series. Reportedly, the event is a sell-out, while more than 1,400 are slated to attend. More than 100 members of the media plan to be on hand.
 
This is the first visit the New York entrepreneur will make to the Upstate region since he announced his candidacy in July.
 
According to a recent poll conducted by Monmouth University, Trump has garnered support among 30 percent of Republicans surveyed in the state. Trailing Trump is retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson at 15 percent. Native son and current U.S. senator for South Carolina, Lindsey Graham, has the support of but 4 percent of his fellow Republicans.
