The FeralIrishman blog offers the following schedule of protest events being planned by various leftist and radical groups this week. The blog post said that it should serve readers as a "list of places NOT to be on Friday the 15th." The accompanying video (see below) offered by Anonymous -- the group associated with classified messages that were purloined from the U.S. government and posted on the internet - describes it as a Day of Action while denouncing actions taken against police officers involved in the shooting of civilians. Because the video bears the tagline “Day of Rage,” TheFeralIrishman said despite any sympathy that viewers might have for civilians who have unjustly lost their lives to police violence, the coming protests "are not safe places to be."
Notably, there are no such events planned for Baton Rouge, Dallas or Houston. It was in Dallas that a black racist shot and killed five police officers during a Black Lives Matter protest last week, while there have been raucous protests in the other two cities since then. In Houston, the mayor is calling for a federal investigation into the killing of a black man, who was armed and aimed his gun at two Latino police officers who ultimately shot him to death. The federal government is investigating the circumstances of the police shooting of a black man in Minnesota and another in Louisiana to determine whether the men's civil liberties were violated by excessive force.
The computer generated voice on the video said that "It is time to draw a line in the sand. It is time to say 'Enough is enough. We're infuriated as we see day after day another human murdered because an irresponsible, corrupt system allows free rein to cops that continously abuse their power, thus, we are calling upon the citizens of the United States to rise up in solidarity with the people of Baton Rouge, Dallas, Falcon Heights, as well as Baltimore, and in Ferguson."
While the video condemned violence, and announced that the protesters at the coming day of civil disobedience are not the "enemy" of the police, it said: "However, it is in your hands for us to stay that way or not, we will not be silenced and we will not be intimidated."
The video added that Anonymous hackers have already launched attacks on the "virtual infrastructure" of the police departments in St. Anthony MN and Baton Rouge LA in anticipation of the coming civil disturbances.
