Photographer Spencer Tunick announced that his next large-scale art installation will feature 100 naked women standing outside the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland this July during the Republican National Convention. Each of the women will stand naked outside the venue while holding large, round mirrors in what Tunick is calling "Everything She Says Means Everything.”
Artist Tunick says Donald Trump inspired him. "I could never have imagined there would be such a heightened attention to the male-versus-female dynamic of this Cleveland juggernaut of a convention," Tunick told Esquire magazine. "But I feel like doing this will sort of calms the senses. It brings it back to the body and to purity."
Tunick is also making a political statement by asking 100 women to strip for him at the GOP convention, where thousands of protesters and counter-protesters from across the political spectrum as expected in July. He said, "I have two daughters—9 and 11—and I want them to grow up in a progressive world with equal rights and equal pay and better treatment for women, and I feel like the 100 women lighting up the sky of Cleveland will send this ray of knowledge onto the cityscape." He added, "I think it will enlighten not only the delegates but set the vibe of the weekend, set a tone."

According to his website, the resulting photograph of the “installation” will involve 100 women holding mirrors “reflecting the knowledge and wisdom of progressive women and the concept of ‘Mother Nature’ into and onto the convention center, cityscape and horizon of Cleveland.”
In the website statement, Tunick describes that the installation “relates to the idea of the sacred feminine.” Furthermore, he wants people to know that “women are a reflection and embodiment of nature, the sun, the sky and the land.” Finally, the website gushes: “We want to express the belief that we will rely upon the strength, intuition and wisdom of progressive and enlightened women to find our place in nature and to regain the balance within it.”
