Investigative journalist and author Ed Klein predicted that President Donald Trump will soon ask Attorney General Jeff Sessions to resign or take another Cabinet position. Speaking on the Mike Gallagher radio show on Friday, Klein was promoting his new book “All out War: The Plot to Destroy Trump.” Gallagher began the segment by asking Klein’s reaction to revelations made by Donna Brazile -- the former interim chair of the Democratic National Committee -- that Hillary Clinton effectively took over the Democrat party and sundered Sen. Bernie Sanders’ chances during the party primaries in 2016. The interview came on the day that President Trump tweeted: "Everybody is asking why the Justice Department and FBI isn't looking into all the dishonesty going on with Crooked Hillary and the Dems...Where is our Justice Department?"

Klein said that it was not surprising, adding that four years before the election, former president Bill Clinton invited Democrat state party chairs to Arkansas to persuade them to support his wife’s candidacy. The former president also eventually convinced the disgraced party chair, Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz of Florida, to rig the election in Hillary Clinton’s favor.

Gallagher asked for Klein’s reaction to tweets President Donald Trump wrote on Thursday in which he referenced Brazile’s book and wrote that the “DNC rigged the system to illegally steal the primary from Bernie Sanders. Bought and paid for...This is real collusion and dishonesty. Major violation of campaign finance laws and money laundering. Where is our Justice Department?’

Show host Gallagher said that Trump had asked on Friday before leaving Washington on his trip to Asia, “Where’s the Justice Department?” “Where is Attorney General Sessions on all of this?” asked Gallagher. Klein offered as an “exclusive” that he predicts Attorney General Sessions will be removed from office within the next month. "I think that there is a really good chance that in the next month or so that Donald Trump will actually replace Jeff Sessions as Attorney General and perhaps appoint him to another Cabinet post and get another attorney general." Klein made clear why the president is poised to make the decision.

“Not only is the president, many Republican members of Congress are urging Jeff Sessions to appoint a special prosecutor on the Hillary Clinton case, but there are several prosecutors within the Justice Department that are pressuring Jeff Sessions to do so.” According to his sources, Klein said Sessions has refused. Sessions’ reasoning, Klein said that he “doesn’t want to politicize the Justice Department.” Klein added, “That’s a lame excuse, in my view.”

Moving on to national security, Klein said that the FBI is increasingly concerned over radical leftists in the U.S. and their overseas ties. Referring to his new book, Klein said, “I think that the most explosive thing...is an FBI report I uncovered that ties Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and other violent left-wing groups to the Islamic State [ISIS} and Al Qaeda. The American FBI has followed these left-wing groups to Europe and witnessed their meetings with Islamic State representatives who are teaching them in bomb-making, toxic chemicals, and things like that. The FBI refers to this as the ‘greatest threat to law enforcement since the 1970s’ Weathermen [radical bomb-making anti-war leftists].’” This is quote, Klein said. “That’s what Donald Trump has been talking about: how violent the Left is.”
